One of the best known is the "Who is the Engineer?" puzzle.On a train, Smith, Robinson, and Jones are the fireman, brakeman, and the engineer, but NOT respectively. Also aboard the train are three businessmen who have the same names: a Mr. Smith, a Mr. Robinson, and a Mr. Jones. 1. Mr. Robinson Lives in Detroit. 2. The brakeman lives exactly halfway between Chicago and Detroit 3. Mr. Jones earns exactly $20,000 per year. 4. The brakeman's nearest neighbor, one of the passengers, earns exactly three times as much as the brakeman. 5. Smith beats the fireman in billiards. 6. The passenger whose name is the same as the brakeman's lives in Chicago. Grid Detective would classify this one as Easy. The ones where you wore through the page erasing your marks? Imagine.... An electronic version, using X and O, and auto populating the rest of the spaces with shading or the appropriate X each time you correctly figure out a clue. If you enjoyed the paper version, you'll LOVE this game. Easy to navigate on the Kindle. X for "not an option" O for "correct answer", Space bar deletes what you have put into the square. PAGE forward to move to the next clue (which highlights the clue you are working on.) Great Kindle distraction! NOTE: update 10/2/11: This game will download to the new ($79) Kindle (many will not... see my review), and the 5 way can be used for the X and O (middle button with either single or double clicks.
